Adoption Benefits for State Employees and Other Eligible Applicants

An eligible applicant would include a full or part time, career service, state (Executive, Legislative, and Judicial Branches), State University, Community College, School Board Districts, Water Management Districts, Department of Juvenile Justice, and instructional personnel by the Florida School for the Deaf and Blind employee. If adopted a special needs child, the employee may receive $10,000 per child. If adopted a non-special needs child, the employee may receive $5,000 per child. (Both are pro rated for part-time employees). All benefits are subject to funding by the Legislature each year.
